Now that we’ve said farewell to the previous year, survived the holidays, ate as much as we could and then bought a gym membership to make all those extra pounds go away, it’s time to embrace the new fashion season and the preparations for the new trendy styles that we are about to see daily in the streets. And if you want to be one of the first to experience them, you’re reading the right article. Let’s take a quick look at the most important new trends that are going to be huge in the following season and year:

Colour me lavender

Ultra Violet has been pronounced as the colour of 2018., and lavender is a very close and very popular shade. So, keep an eye out for this colour and buy everything lavender you can – it’s beautiful, it’s light, and most importantly – it’s very instagramable. Michael Kors and Max Mara have already started with this trend, as the Spring 2018 runway featured this colour a lot, which means only one thing – you can immediately go online and buy various lavender items, from both fast fashion designers or high-end ones.

Where fashion meets art

If you’ve ever wanted to have a comic book pattern on your pants but somehow felt embarrassed to wear it, this is your year. From Warhol’s art to classic comic book designs, 2018 will feature so many colourful choices and patterns for blazers, and most importantly, bottoms. If you’re a fan of Versace or Prada, then this surely is your style for this year. Shake up your wardrobe by wearing these statement pieces of clothing and proudly get all the compliments for being so daring.

Feels like the 1920s

Even though fringe dresses and skirts were always somehow trendy (probably due to the fact they are channelling the 1920s, a very fashionable decade, to be honest), this year prepare to go over the top. Very glamorous fringe dresses were seen on the runways of Calvin Klein, Dior or Loewe. So, if you can’t wait for the new season to hit the stores, you can always buy gorgeous designer dresses online – it doesn’t have to be a very high-end designer, though, as there are many fringe dresses you can buy from amateur designers that are worth wearing.

Fanny pack or funny pack?

Definitely not funny. Even though this was regarded as one of the most ridiculous styles from the 90s, fanny pack is back and is definitely here to stay for the next couple of years. Thanks to Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Rihanna, you can purchase an excellent and very fashionable fanny pack anywhere you want to. And get one for yourself, you’ll definitely want it this year.

Flower power

Even though the legendary Miranda Presley doesn’t approve of flowers for spring, wearing retro flowers is actually ground-breaking. Floral patterns were always present in spring, and although they were not original, we were very keen on them. However, this year, wearing 1960s inspired retro floral patterns is definitely something worth checking out. Just take a look at the spring runways of Marc Jacobs and Balenciaga, and you’ll know what we’re talking about.

Life in plastic, it’s fantastic

If you don’t own a transparent plastic footwear or jacket, quickly browse the internet and order yourself one, as this is one of the most important trends of 2018. If you think the models of Chanel or Valentino are a bit too much for you, you can always opt for certain PVC accessories, such as belts or bracelets.

2018 is definitely serving it, and it’s not even spring yet. Who knows what things we can expect from it, but until something new comes, let’s indulge ourselves in these extraordinary fashion trends!
