Face Mask Review: Masked Beauty Clay Facial Masks

“This is a sponsored post, powered by BrandBacker”

I had the privilege of testing out two full size jars of clay facial masks by the company, Masked Beauty. I was sent an Exfoliating Coffee & Chocolate Facial Mask and a Purifying Charcoal & Diamond Facial Mask.

These are luxury masks with ingredients that you can see, feel, and smell! REAL INGREDIENTS MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Masked Beauty products are special both for what is in them and what’s not. They’re formulated with high performance ingredients like Pure Kaolin, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Beeswax, Caffeine, and Flower Extracts.

Masked Beauty products are never formulated with any Parabens, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Triclosan, Polyethylene Microbeads, Bisphenol A (BPA), and Toluene.

Chocolate and Coffee Facial Mask

I have never used a clay mask before so this was my first time trying them. I tried the Chocolate and Coffee mask first.

This is a thick mask that smells like those scratch n’ sniff chocolate scented stickers from the 80s that I grew up with as a kid. It contains bits of coffee grounds in it and the scent is so aromatic around my face. I don’t know if I want to eat, drink, or wear the mask :).

The mask came with a silicone brush for an easy application. I read all of the directions first on both the jar and the brush and followed them.

I wasn’t sure how much to put on my brush and how heavy or thick I should spread the mask on. It seems that part is left open for interpretation by the user. I decided for me, a happy medium was in between a thin and thick application.

When I put the mask on, it was wet and tacky. I left it on for 10 minutes and the consistency remained the same as when I first applied it.

When I washed my face, I could definitely smell the coffee when the water hit my face. It smelled so good having the mask on and taking it off! The scent was so enjoyable and strong (but in a totally good way). The scent was not overpowering and it was just so nice to smell the entire time.

The results:

  • My pores shrunk
  • My face tightened up
  • My blemishes decreased
  • My face was smooth
  • I saw results overnight
  • Use at bedtime

This is a great mask for using at bedtime. I do have acne, so instead of using my Oxy (Benzoyl cream) at night to help with acne, this would be a really nice mask to use a couple nights a week instead.

Charcoal and Diamond Facial Mask

The next mask I tried was the Charcoal and Diamond one. This is the closest thing I’m going to get to a diamond in my life (LOL)!

The smell was so intoxicating, as it smelled like beauty, minerals, flowers, and clean scent cologne (all in one). The mixture of all these together, smelled like I was truly at the spa (smelled really high end).

The consistency of this mask was more of a wet liquid. I applied it on with my silicone brush and worked from the center of the face then outward (just like the directions stated). I left the mask on for 10 minutes and here is what it looks like:

When I washed my face and put water to the mask, it was seriously heaven because of the aromatic scent.

The results:

  • My pores shrunk
  • My face felt rejuvenated
  • My face felt refreshed
  • My face felt awakened
  • My face was soft
  • This would be great for morning use
