I had the privilege of reviewing “Many Ethnicities” Shampoo, Conditiner, and Leave-in Conditioning Cream.
The company sent me this set, free of charge ($59.99 value), for an honest review. I was delighted to be able to test out a new product on the market. These products are made for people of “Many Ethnicities” but specifically cater to the hair types of: Wooly, Curly, Kinky, and Dry
The founder, Dr. Ena Hennegan was inspired to make this hair care product line, as her three daughters, including herself, have different hair types. These products are: Sulfate Free, Color-Safe, Plant-derived and made with Hydrolized Pea Protein, Argan Oil, Avocado Oil, and Marine Algae.
I’m someone who has thick, curly, course hair, so I definitely wanted to try this product.
I did two tests:
TEST 1 – Curly Hair:
- I let my hair dry naturally using all 3 products together (Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave-in Conditioning Cream). The only outside product I added was a 2 Chic Silkening Serum. I use this in my normal routine, so I didn’t want to eliminate this product (because it helps me fight frizz).
TEST 2 – Straight Hair:
- I blow dried my hair, then straightened it with my flat iron, only using 2 products (Shampoo & Conditioner). The only outside product I added was a 2 Chic Silkening Serum. I use this in my normal routine, so I didn’t want to eliminate this product (because it helps me fight frizz).
I really wanted to see how these products worked when I styled my hair differently. To see my full review of the product, please watch the below video:
After reviewing these products, here is the conclusion that I came to:
Curly Hair Test:
When I let my hair dry curly using all 3 products, they added a ton of volume to my hair. Depending on the person, this may be a good thing or not. For me, I naturally have a lot of volume in my hair, so I don’t prefer extra or added volume to my hair. The bottle did not indicate “volumizing” so perhaps, this is just how my hair responded to the products.
Here you can see a side-by-side comparison of the volume it added to my hair.
- PROS: My hair dried extremely fast, was soft, lightweight/weightless, and smelled great (floral scent)
- CONS: For me, volume…way too much
Straight Hair Test:
My hair turned out amazing straight. I would absolutely use these products, when straightening my hair.
- PROS: Soft, silky, smooth, smelled great (floral scent)
- CONS: None!
What I liked about these products was that I felt I didn’t need to use a ton of the shampoo and conditioner. Every product line is different and with others, I have had to squeeze out gobs of the product on my hair, to even feel like it was sudsing and lathering up my hair. I did not have to do that with these products. I used a normal amount, which is great, knowing that the product will last longer.
If I wash my hair on a Monday, I can go Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before I need to wash my hair again. I would typically wash my hair on Thursday. These products lasted the standard amount of days for me (3) before I had to wash my hair again. They behaved the same way as other shampoo/conditioners (lasting 3 days).
