Yardley London Soap Review

Summer is here and that means that after bike riding, gardening, exercising, walking the dog, and burning the fire pit outside, it’s time for a well needed cool shower. This shower will be amazing because I’ll be using Yardley London bath bar soaps.

Since 1770, Yardley bath bars have stood as a symbol of English luxury and today, that tradition continues with soaps crafted with essential oils and moisturizing ingredients to smooth your skin and soothe your mind. Trusted for generations, Yardley provides the perfect combination of ingredients from nature that makes your skin feel good, combined with lush fragrances.

I tested out three different bath bar scents from Yardley London which were:

  • English Lavender
  • Oatmeal and Almond
  • Creamy Coconut

Let’s talk about the scents! OMG the scents were so fragrant and lovely that I could smell these botanical bath soap scents while each still lived in their box. It was almost as if I had unwrapped each of the soaps and was holding them in my hands. The smell alone is intoxicating.

English Lavender

English Lavender Moisturizing Bath Bar: Moisturizing

Calms and soothes with pure lavender extracts and essential oils. While gently cleansing, this timeless favorite melts away symptoms of stress to make bath time a tranquil treat. Exhale your busy schedule and indulge in a bouquet of fresh herbs and lavender while the rich lather leaves skin feeling fresh, soft, and supple. Enjoy the soothing effects of lavender essential oils as part of your daily routine or a special night time bath to help you relax.

Oatmeal and Almond

Oatmeal & Almond Moisturizing Bath Bar: Exfoliating

Sweet overtones of almond mix with natural oatmeal helps soothe dry skin and gently exfoliates. Soothe and protect against dry skin and irritation with tried and true ingredients that have made this our most popular soap.

Creamy Coconut

Creamy Coconut Moisturizing Bath Bar: Smooths & Hydrates

Smooths and hydrates with Shea Butter, Aloe, and Vitamin E. Indulge your body and mind with the creamy lather and luscious coconut fragrance balanced with a warm vanilla flower scent. Let it whisk you away to a tropical paradise.

I have to say that I loved the packaging of each box. What was neat was that you could flip the boxes horizontally or vertically to produce the same image, but in a different way. This is ideal for a number of reasons: product placement on store shelves (get more room on the shelf if the box is vertical vs. horizontal), the packaging is great for photos to give you two different views of visually capturing the product (one direction may work better than the other for photos), the classic feel of the colors and font makes the soap appear to be made of natural ingredients and not harsh abrasive ingredients that would sting or make you itchy from dry skin. What I also liked about the packaging is the side of the box. There’s a history of Yardley and a more in depth look at what the soap can and will do for your body.

When I opened the boxes, each bar soap had the name of the company “Yardley London” imprinted on the soap. The Oatmeal and Almond bar was a tan(ish) color.

I thought that the English Lavender would be purple or lavender (LOL!), but it was cream in color.

The Creamy Coconut bar was a brown color.

Everyone needs a little “Me Time” and Yardley London soaps help to accomplish just that in the shower. The best way to decompress and dedicate a few moments to myself is with a nice cool shower in the summer. I was able to try all three soaps which helped to not only rejuvenate my mind and body, but offered relaxation and botanical smells for a lasting fresh and clean feel, after a long day of fun in the sun.

I used all three soaps at once in the shower, on different parts of my body. I wanted to test the soaps out this way, to see if one body part felt different than another and in what area. After testing the soaps out, here were my thoughts:

  • None of the soaps dried me out
  • None of the soaps stung me (which is pretty typical for me using bar soaps)
  • None of the soaps made me itch
  • The soaps smelled incredible in and out of the boxes
  • The scents on my body afterward were subtle and mild (not overpowering)
  • The only soap with texture after use was the oatmeal and almond
  • The soaps lathered quickly with enough lasting lather
  • The soaps were not too slippery and were easy to hold

I truly enjoyed using all three of these soaps and what I love about them (there’s so much to love) is their price point. These soaps range from $0.97 cents to $1.49 per bar! Now if that isn’t beauty on a budget, then I don’t know what is.

If you would like to try out these bars for yourself, you can find them at your favorite mass drug and food stores like:

  • Walmart
  • Walgreens
  • CVS
  • Rite Aid
  • Dollar Tree
  • Dollar General
  • Shop Rite
  • HEB
  • Publix
  • Wegmans and many more…

The new Creamy Coconut is available at most Walmart and Walgreens stores.

  1. Tina Larva says:

Great info! You are a great speaker and easy on the eyes. Can’t wait for more helpful tips.

  2. Thank you so much…not gonna argue with that (LOL).

  3. Maybe I should try these . The soaps I have been using are the venezia soap works pure vegetable soap bars and they are so annoying. You can’t travel with them or store them properly because they are so big they are 7 oz . Not very convenient. Not to mention they are so big that you are always dropping them exspecually when they are wet. Then you drop them and they get dented and dinged up . I give up maybe I should try Yardley.

  4. I haven’t heard of Venezia but there are so many soap companies out there. Yardley is great because they are the perfect size. I am using a large bar soap now and it is awkward because it doesn’t fit in your hand correctly. I bought it to get more for my money with a larger size. You should def give Yardley a try! It’s only $1 at the Dollar Tree.
